2023 D&AD NEWBLOOD BRIEF:
A typographically led social activist campaign on an issue of our choosing.
Deliverables included 3+ posters, a digital element, a non-traditional touchpoint, and a 2 minute submission presentation video
The Oxford Dictionary “reflects rather than dictates how language is used", even when it means recording and enforcing outdated, gender stereotypes within its definition examples. The dictionary should use its influence to promote equality, inclusivity and respect within our everyday language.
This awareness and action campaign is aimed at holding the dictionary accountable. It encourages people to visit our website and make edit suggestions sent directly to The Oxford Dictionary for their quarterly review.
